About this event
This workshop taught by Clarissa Holmes focuses on using flowers and food waste to make beautiful homemade inks for paper, and use simple chemistry to create several different shades from one source. Clarissa Holmes is a natural dye artist from Hamilton. She has spent the last 10 years abroad, exploring and studying natural dye traditions. She has developed a wide knowledge of techniques, plants and customs surrounding natural dyes, and has facilitated several workshops with the intention to connect people with plants, color and textile sustainability. All materials and tools are provided, and no prior experience is required. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
