Trek the trails, meander the meadow, and paddle the pond in search of Cassatt Preserve's more than 130 different bird species. Our experienced birding staff will teach the basics of wild bird ID, behavior, and habitat. Learn how to use binoculars, spotting scopes, field guides, apps, and other tools for birding and wildlife observation. Explore the importance of ambassador raptors in education and learn about the care of UMLY's resident birds. Campers will spend time in our new watershed lab discovering why our campus habitats are vital to the world's birds. Campers will enjoy a daily rec swim.
