Learn the magic of plants through close observation and applied drawing techniques! In this 6 week course, you will learn basic botany including flower morphology, fruit development and leaf structure. We will explore drawing through important concepts such as light source, perspective, values, contrast, detail hierarchy and composition to make botanical drawings feel dynamic and alive. This course is designed for those beginning their plant drawing journey or intermediate/advanced artists looking to refine their technique. The focus will be on accurate botanical realism but all styles and skill levels are welcome.
