Femmes Gravel 2027: Century Training Program & Gravel Century
Train together. Ride 100 miles. Finish as a team.
Femmes Gravel is a Northwest Arkansas nonprofit that helps femmes take their gravel riding to the next level. Over 13 weeks, you’ll train with a supportive community of riders, build from 30 to 70 mile group rides, and finish the season with a 100 mile gravel century on [Century date].
What started in 2021 as one message in a women’s cycling chat has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with more than 140 riders a season. 2027 is our sixth season.
What’s included with training registration
- Weekly Saturday group training rides, on vetted routes
- Support from experienced ride leads, floats, and sweeps, with planned regroup points
- Three pace groups so every rider trains at the right level: Group C (Novice, 10 to 12 mph), Group B (Intermediate, 12 to 13 mph), and Group A (Advanced, 13 to 15 mph)
- Off bike clinics on bike fit, nutrition, pelvic floor PT and stretching, tires, bike maintenance, and what to wear
- Free Monthly Femmes Rides on the 3rd Saturday of each month
- An individual weekly training plan to guide your progress
- The Femmes Gravel Guidebook, covering group riding skills, etiquette, and rules of the road
- Entry into the 100 mile Century Event
- One giveaway entry into our end of season raffle for every ride or clinic you attend
Registration options
- Group A, B, or C: Full training program plus the Century Event
- Training Only: Full training program without the Century Event
Is this program right for you?
You’re a good fit if you:
- Ride at least 3 times a week, virtual rides included
- Can comfortably ride 30 miles at 10 mph or faster on flat gravel
- Have a well maintained gravel bike
- Are ready to commit to the training plan
