About this event
Description
Western Canada’s largest public art museum, the Vancouver Art Gallery was opened in 1931 and houses over 12,000 historical and contemporary pieces including the largest collection of legendary Canadian modernist painter Emily Carr. Time will be given to explore the museum, enjoy a no-host lunch and take a docent-led tour. On the drive home, we will stop for an afternoon no-host treat.
Valid identification required to cross the border: passport, WA state enhanced driver's license or NEXUS card. Pre-registration is required. Registration fees include transportation, admissions and guide. Transportation will be provided in a 12-passenger van. Bring money for food and purchases and wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Depart/return Civic Stadium; park near the western ticket booth.
