Ever wanted to design build and race your very own race car? Well now is your chance in the pinewood derby project! Pinewood derby is a gravity powered race event where participants create their own car designs from a single piece of wood and race them head-to-head on a special track. In this project we will learn all about pinewood derby racing and how to build a successful pinewood derby race car. We will then design, build, paint and race our cars head-to-head. Pinewood derby has been a fixture of boy scout programs for over 70 years and this year is the inaugural BASIS Independent Bellevue Pinewood Derby Challenge Cup World Championship!
