About this event
Come join Ms. Fischer and Ms. Ward on the beach for the lowest tides of the year! We will explore the intertidal zone of three different beaches and find extraordinary sea creatures that live most of their lives underwater. Students in this project will learn about the ways we can care for and protect marine animals and ecosystems in the Puget Sound. PLEASE NOTE: Students joining this project should expect to walk several miles per day and tidepool in several inches of water. Appropriate footwear, sunscreen, water bottle, and lunch should be packed in a small backpack. Transportation will be provided each day. Please follow the schedule below for pick-up and drop-off at BLV campus Monday: Golden Gardens Park. 9:00 AM drop off. 2:00 PM pick up. Tuesday: Lincoln Park. 9:30 AM drop off. 2:00 PM pick up. Wednesday: Pocket Beach and Seattle Aquarium. 9:30 AM drop off. 2:00 PM pick up.
