The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course is intended only for healthcare professionals and students entering healthcare professions, such as nurses, EMTs, paramedics, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other licensed or clinical healthcare providers. Individuals who do not work in or are not entering a healthcare profession should register for the Heartsaver Complete course instead.
The BLS course includes:

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• Team dynamics and high-performance resuscitation
• AED use
• Relief of choking
• Bag-mask ventilation and other essential BLS skills

Students who successfully complete the course will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider certification card.
