About this event
Is your child curious about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)? Do they love hands-on learning and exploring new ideas? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for them: IMSA's Pre-PROMISE Saturday STEM Series! IMSA is committed to equity and excellence, including the active recruitment of students from all areas of Illinois. IMSA’s PROMISE Program addresses the unique challenges of culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse (CLED) students who have an interest in STEM education by providing academic enrichment programming at low to no cost. This grant-funded program is open to all students, especially Black or African American students, Latinx students, students who qualify for the national free or reduced-price meal program, and students from rural Illinois counties. This spring, we're offering a special series of three Saturday STEM programs designed to give 6th graders an immersive and engaging STEM experience. By committing to all three Saturdays, your child will: ●Deepen their understanding of STEM concepts through interactive, hands-on activities. ●Develop essential skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. ●Explore different STEM fields and discover their passions. ●Get a taste of IMSA's unique learning environment. ●Prepare for future STEM opportunities, including IMSA's PROMISE Program. The Pre-PROMISE Saturday STEM Series is a wonderful way to ignite your child's passion for STEM and set them on a path toward a bright future.
