Spend a relaxed evening in the ceramic studio hand-building a functional, sweet centerpiece for your kitchen. Make your very own ceramic cookie jar. Designed with total creative flexibility, this workshop allows you to construct a classic, smooth-walled round vessel or get imaginative by sculpting your jar into a custom shape, such as a cozy autumn pumpkin, an acorn, or a whimsical character. No prior pottery experience is necessary as you learn core hand-building techniques including slab construction, coiling, and pinching to shape the walls and form a fitted lid. You will learn how to create an interior rim so your lid sits securely, sculpt a custom handle or decorative top knob, and add textured surface details through carving or stamping before selecting rich glazes from our studio palette. All clay, sculpting tools, glazes, and double-firing services are included. Just show up in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. After class, our studio team will handle the drying, glazing, and firing, leaving your finished cookie jar food-safe and ready to store all your favorite treats. 🗓️ Pick-Up Info: Your masterpieces will be ready for pickup 3 weeks from the class date.
