Gather in the studio for a warm autumn evening sculpting a custom ceramic gravy boat for your holiday table. Perfect for passing around during family feasts or gifting to a holiday host, this workshop guides you step-by-step through shaping, forming, and detailing a functional vessel complete with a smooth pouring spout and comfortable handle. No prior ceramic experience is necessary as you explore handbuilding techniques like slab construction and pinching to construct your gravy boat. You will learn how to design a balanced base, flare and pinch a clean pouring lip, and attach a sturdy handle that feels great in the hand. After shaping your piece, you will have complete creative freedom to carve subtle seasonal textures, add decorative accents, and select rich glazes from our studio palette. All clay, tools, glazes, and double-firing services are provided. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little clay-dusted. Following the session, our studio team will handle the drying, glazing, and kiln firing, leaving your gravy boat food-, microwave-, and dishwasher-safe just in time for your Holiday spread. 🗓️ Pick-Up Info: Your masterpieces will be ready for pickup 3 weeks from the class date.
