About this event
Gather in the ceramic studio for a cozy autumn evening mastering one of pottery’s most classic techniques to craft your own custom serving bowl. Designed to take center stage on your holiday table or serve as a handcrafted host gift, this workshop guides you step-by-step through coiling, shaping, and smoothing clay into a warm, generous vessel built for family feasts. No prior pottery experience is required as you learn how to roll smooth, even coils of clay and layer them to build up the height and contour of your bowl. You will have full creative control over the final design, whether you choose to smooth the walls completely for a classic finish, leave exposed coiling for a rustic feel, or add holiday touches like sculpted autumn leaves, woven handles, or festive surface textures. Once your bowl is shaped, you will select your glaze from our studio palette. All clay, tools, glazes, and double-firing services are provided. Show up in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little clay-dusted and get your hands dirty. After class, our studio team will handle the drying, glazing, and kiln firing. Your finished food- and dishwasher-safe serving bowl will be ready right in time for your Holiday table. 🗓️ Pick-Up Info: Your masterpieces will be ready for pickup 3 weeks from the class date. Please call or email the studio to schedule your pickup time. (If the kiln gods smile upon us and they are ready early, we will shoot you a notification email!)
