About this event
NOTE: Class skips September 24. This class is for beginning and intermediate photographers. Whether brand new to film, returning to the darkroom after years away, or looking to strengthen printing skills, this hands-on workshop will guide students through the process from negative to finished print. Students will learn how to develop film, create contact sheets, and produce beautiful silver gelatin prints while exploring essential darkroom techniques such as exposure control, contrast adjustment, and dodging and burning. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how photographs are made and how creative choices in the darkroom can bring images to life. Additional darkroom hours are available for enrolled students who wish to practice and refine their skills outside of class. By the end of the workshop, students will have a small portfolio of finished prints and the confidence to continue working independently in the darkroom. Please check out the instructor's website: www.marcusdurham.com Chemistry is provided; Students supply their own film, photographic paper, and negative storage materials.
