Introduction to Abstract Painting. A Mindful Approach Creating abstract art serves as a powerful mindfulness practice. The creator can fully immerse themselves in the present moment and sensory experience. In this introductory class, we will be using acrylic paint materials on canvas to explore various abstract painting techniques partnered with mindfulness techniques to create our art. We will touch on art fundamentals and principles such as shape, color, line, balance, rhythm, and unity. Each day we will explore a new approach such as washes, pouring and layering.
