Every home needs a frame for family photos, artwork, keepsakes, even mirrors, and frames can be expensive. Save a small fortune and learn a NEW! skill in a frame-making class.

A materials fee is included in the class fee for consumable supplies provided by the Center.

Learn how to design and construct professional quality frames for your personal treasures. Works of art, kids’ drawings, family keepsakes, travel photos, canvases, mirrors and much more — all deserve to be displayed to their best advantage. Together we can frame most anything you have.

We will begin at the beginning with basic instruction in designing, frame construction, matt cutting, sourcing materials, and use of tools. “Do it yourself” picture framing is economical, fun, and your finished pieces will reflect your new-found skills. You can expect to frame between 4 and 8 pieces in each session. Returning frame students are welcome. Have some fun and save some money!

REFUND POLICY: To receive a refund, students must submit their request at least 2 weeks before the first class. No refunds or transfers are guaranteed after this time. To withdraw from a class, you are required to email ChastainArts@AtlantaGA.gov and include your name, the class name, and your reason for withdrawal. The option to accept an account credit for the class withdrawal is preferred. If a withdrawal/refund is requested after 2 weeks prior to or after the class has begun, a $30 administration fee will be deducted and only an account credit will be processed to be used for future class registrations, clay purchases, and future purchases in our gift shop & gallery. If a class is running at minimum enrollment, we cannot process refunds or credits within 1 week of the class starting. If you register for a class after the session has begun, only an account credit will be processed if a withdrawal is requested. Anyone registered for a figure class with a model will be required to pay the model fee on the first day of class with cash or check to the instructor. Even if you request a withdrawal after the first day of class, you will be required to pay the model fee calculated based on enrollment on the first-class meeting. The Chastain Arts Center is not responsible for classes missed due to student absences and the student is not eligible to receive a refund or credit for any missed classes due to a student absence.
