This wheel-based, hands-on workshop will explore different ways students can add textures and patterns to their projects using tools and found objects. Various techniques will be discussed and demonstrated, with an emphasis on throwing and modifying functional forms with textured wooden paddles and stamps. We will also discuss different finishing techniques for students to consider using for their work. Bring your favorite texture tools, objects, or ideas to explore!
