Seeds of Hope: Native Landscaping Tour (FT-2) 12:45 pm – 4:30 pm Visit the Aldo Leopold Native Seed Orchard at NGLVC to see thousands of native plants that produce seed and plant materials for habitat restoration projects in the Chequamegon Bay region. This orchard, named for one of America’s foremost conservationists, is also a nectar and seed source for many native butterflies, bees, moths and birds. Then drive to a nearby native plant nursery to learn about growing native plants, restoring habitat, how conservation easements work, and purchase your own wildflowers to get started at home! Led by U.S. Forest Service retiree Susan Nelson, in partnership with the Chequamegon Chapter of Wild Ones and Whittlesey Creek Wildflower Farm.
