Adult. Enrollment in the Beginning Cabinet Making Class requires that prospective students have taken at least 1 of the Woodworking With Hand Tools classes, or permission from the instructor. This is a Hand Tool Class with considerable precision required and is an advanced class.

Beginning Cabinet Making – building on existing woodworking hand-tool skills, the student will construct a small case piece, using dovetail or joinery. From the basic case piece, depending on time and skill level, the student can move on to create dividers/shelf and/or a small drawer. The drawer will be constructed from either dovetail or rabbet joinery. There are 2 examples provided. There is a materials fee for the Second Level class to cover the cost and dimensioning of the materials. All tools and materials will be provided. This is a hand-tool class. Most of the construction will be accomplished using traditional hand tools, chisels, saws and planes. A materials fee of $50 will be due to the instructor at the start of class. Instructor: Ken Ray. 10 classes. Last day to register is 9/12.
