Adult. If you can sew a straight line on a sewing machine, you are ready for this class! In sewing, “upcycling” means projects such as turning a damaged sweater into a purse, an old sheet into a curtain, or an unwanted shirt into a skirt. Each class will start with a half hour of instruction on a sewing technique. The rest of each class, participants will work on their own projects with instructor assistance. Sewing machines and basic supplies will be provided. Please bring at least one potential project to the first class. (You may choose non-upcycling projects, if you prefer).
