Description
Grades 10th - Adult. In this open studio format, create pieces to be proud of! Appropriate for beginners as well as returning students, the instructor will teach you any techniques needed to create your work, including handbuilding and pottery wheel instruction. Pinch pots, slab construction, coil, throwing, trimming, and glazing will all be covered in this class according to students' project needs. Create as many as 4-6 medium to large pieces to be fired and finished. Class size is limited to allow access to equipment and assistance from the instructor. Fee includes one 25lb bag of clay (either red or white). Additional clay can be purchased from Rovin Ceramics. Full scholarship participants pay $60 to cover materials. Instructor: Deanne Neiburger. Due to limited space and high demand for adult pottery classes, Rec & Ed is unable to offer senior discounts. Additionally, each scholarship recipient can only use their scholarship toward an adult pottery class once per fiscal year. 8 classes. No class 10/12, 11/23 and 11/30.
