Individual adults or adults with children ages 5+.
This class will guide participants in moving seedlings into trays with enough space for each to grow larger. Participants will leave with the trays to allow the seedlings to grow for another month at home before transplanting them into the ground. Although this class extends the work started in the MI Wildflowers: Family-Friendly Winter Planting class (offered in the winter term), anyone is welcome to attend. Participants without seedlings can select species from a community table. Instructors: Seeds to Community Washtenaw staff. 1 class.

Please register in the adult's name.

Only one registration per household is needed.

Fee: $25 (per adult attendee)

Children can accompany registered adults.

Native plants and communities
Right plant for your place
Planting in groups
Seedling handling and planting
Tray care

Class objectives:

Prepare trays or pots for up-potting
Thoughtfully up-pot seedlings
Avoid common planting errors
Take home trays of up-potted seedlings
Understand the necessary care that trays need
Understand how to go from trays to ground planting
