DATE: Saturday, May 9, 2026

TIME: 9am-12:30pm (check in 8-8:30am, play begins at 9am)

LOCATION: Slauson Middle School (lower level)

COST: $29 entry fee, Pre-registration is required

• 65 players max, no walk-ins will be accepted
• Must live within AAPS school district boundaries
• Must be in grades K-8th
• Must be able to use a scoresheet (see FAQ)
• Clocks, boards, pieces, and scoresheets will be provided
• Must be able to stay the entire time (9am-12:30pm)
• Swiss-style play with 4 rounds/games
• 20 minutes per player, per game (G/20, no delay)
• Sign up to play by grade level OR open play (see FAQ)
• Prizes for 1st-5th place per division
• Tie-breaker games at end, only if needed

Registration will close at noon on May 4th. Pre-registration is required - no walk-ins will be accepted.

Be sure to arrive at Slauson between 8-8:30am for check-in. The first round of play begins at 9am.
