Teens will create, cast, rehearse, and perform an original one-act play in just 24-hours! After registration, participants will complete a short form indicating their interest in roles such as playwright, director, or actor, and roles will be assigned ahead of the event to help everything run smoothly. The experience begins with a group brainstorm and surprise "required elements" (like characters, props, lines, or plot twists), followed by auditions, writing, and a fast-paced rehearsal process. In just one day and night, students will bring a brand-new play from page to stage. This event concludes with a live performance for family and friends on Day 2 at 6:00pm. Fast, collaborative, and creative-- this is theater made in a day!
