Explore the beauty of American landscapes and the power of awe‑inspiring art in this creative painting class. Students will learn essential techniques in watercolor and pen‑and‑ink while studying how artists use color, composition, and texture to bring scenes to life. Drawing inspiration from iconic American artworks and moments of personal wonder, each student will create a series of expressive landscape studies. This class blends technique, creativity, and art appreciation—perfect for anyone looking to grow their skills and deepen their artistic voice.
Painting the American Landscape
Join me in a study of the American Landscape, as we celebrate 250 years of America. We will learn about the artists that brought these vistas to life, showing how they incorporated color, composition and texture into their work. Using water-based mediums, we will learn how we can incorporate what we learn into six of our own personal landscapes.
