---Instructor: Joanna Henry--- Develop and create interesting characters that give you depth as an actor and keep audiences engaged! First, we’ll review basic characterization techniques, and then we’ll enhance those techniques with practical application, using observation and rehearsal strategies. Throughout the six weeks, we’ll focus on how costumes, body movement, voice, and tempo can make a character richer. While working on a short play, you’ll find what works best for you and develop your own tactics to achieve a realistic and thought-provoking portrayal of your character. This is a relaxed, fun, informative class on cultivating your awareness and guiding your talents to communicate an authentic and believable character.
