She is a professor emeritus of San Jose State University, where she taught financial management, commercial banking and entrepreneurial finance. She received her undergraduate and MBA degrees from Harvard University and holds FINRA Series 7, 65 and 79 certifications. Description: Financial ratios are simple mathematical calculations that help you quickly evaluate the health of a business enterprise. Whether you’re interested in stock investing or in improving your own business, ratios will give you important insights with a minimum of effort. Many ratios can be applied to personal finance as well! The first session will focus on income statement ratios, the second on balance sheet ratios, and the third will be a fun look at real-life companies’ ratios and the story they tell us.
