Instructor: Edward Seufert retired from SRS as a mechanical engineer. Ed is an avid amateur historian with a keen interest in the Revolutionary War, American Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Description: This course will cover the major aspects of the Korean War including: The Division of Korea after WWII; The N Korean invasion of S Korea (June 25, 1950); Crisis at the Pusan Perimeter; MacArthur’s brilliant amphibious landing at INCHON; The UN Advance into N Korea; Communist China enters the war; The Marine retreat from Chosin Reservoir; Armistice, not Peace (1953).
