About this event
Instructor: Susie O’Connor is the Access Services and Government Information Librarian at the Gregg-Graniteville Library, University of South Carolina Aiken, where she has worked since 2019. She holds a Master of Library Science (MLS) degree from Emporia State University. Description: Welcome to Library Navigation Basics. We’ll learn how to find physical books, CDs, and DVDs using the library catalog (Find It) and the Library of Congress call number system. CLL patrons may check out up to 10 items at a time. We’ll also cover how to access materials with in-library licensing restrictions, including eBook chapters, articles, and newspapers available through the library catalog and databases. Additional services include getting a library card, accessing library computers, and using paid printing, lamination, and copy services.
