Instructor: Marty Bailey is a Texan living in Aiken for 17 years, nine of which she’s been a volunteer firefighter and 13 years the owner of Tailored Tours of Aiken. She’s passionate about history and supporting those who serve the community as public servants. She especially loves time with her grandsons. Description: We all depend on our public servants having the proper training and the heart for service when we call them in an emergency. Through this course, you’ll learn about the training and demands of your local public servants. You’ll get to meet some of your local servants (a firefighter, law enforcement, and a paramedic) to learn firsthand about their training, what a typical workday is for them, and how their job affects their family life. You’ll hear from them what their greatest like/dislike of their jobs are and how they deal with certain situations they sometimes face.
