Join teenagers from various religious traditions in a week-long exploration of various local places of worship, engaging in meaningful service projects helping farm workers in Watsonville and low-income families in San Jose. There will be community building activities, opportunities for interfaith dialogue, field trips to local places of worship such as synagogues, Sikh Gurdwaras, and Buddhist temples for tours and presentations by religious leaders about their spiritual traditions. The immersion also includes 10 hours of direct community service at two local agencies and can earn community service credit This is neither a traditional academic class nor a camp, but rather an interfaith dialogue and service immersion experience.
