Description
Prepare your mason bee cocoons for winter! The baby bees are all grown up and tucked away safely in their cocoons. It's time to clean the cocoons to get rid of parasites and any unwanted critters. After cleaning we'll get them ready to be tucked into a refrigerator for the winter. Children 5 and older are welcome. Bring your own cocoons if you have them! Cocoon storage containers will be provided. Our speaker Leah Puhlman is an Oregon State University Extension Master Gardener who teaches for the award-winning 10-Minute University™ Program. Leah has years of experience working with mason bees, hosting them in her own garden and elsewhere. In 2022, she hosted 30,000 mason bees.
