About This Activity
We are heading to CENTER ISLAND to learn about the science and engineering behind rides. Once back to base, they are building their own roller coasters and ferris wheels. However, their creations will be much smarter, thanks to all the coding, circuits and robotics they will learn during this adventurous week! Campers will work in teams to design and build the their SMART RIDES using MICRO:BIT and LEGO SPIKE BONUS: : MICRO:BIT and accompanying motor and sensors are complementary. Students will take the entire project (except SPIKE Components) home. Solution Topic: - How would you make your game fun? - How would you make it smart Campers will: - Learn the engineering design process - ideate and brainstorm fun SMART ride ideas - Understand simple machines - Learn the basics of Coding - Learn the basics of Robotics and circuitry - Learn about sensors and Motors to make the RIDES Smarter Campers will work in teams to design and build the following: SMART RIDES
