Chair Yoga is a therapeutic movement practice targeted especially at seniors or older adults as a safer and more comfortable way to engage in yoga despite limited mobility, lower fitness levels, visual or balance impairments, and physical deconditioning. Staying seated while doing yoga means that even frail seniors or those who aren't flexible can safely do the exercises. The benefits of chair yoga for older adults includes loosening and stretching painful muscles, reducing chronic pain, decreasing stress, and improving circulation.
Please bring a yoga mat, two yoga blocks and a strap.
