Our hands-on cooking camp will enable camp-goers to find their inner chef. Each day, we will explore a different country through food and story-telling. Using fresh farm produce and interactive cooking techniques, the camp-goers will prepare meals from scratch as they learn kitchen and food safety, professional kitchen etiquette, measuring ratios, and prep skills. In addition to a wide variety of tactile recipes, kids will participate in activities such as learning about geography, mindfulness, health and nutrition, and environmentalism. We will create a full meal (appetizers, mains, and desserts) each day and sit down together to enjoy the fruits of our labor at the end of the day. This camp is very vegetarian friendly. Campers will also be taken on adventures and have plenty of outdoor activities to stay engaged. Each day is a different adventure filled with cooking, mindfulness, hiking, and playing. A recipe booklet will be emailed to the parents at the end of the camp to recreate the delicious meals at home! Picky eaters are welcome! *We can accommodate most food sensitivities, but please reach out to us directly to discuss your child's needs. **Please bring your own containers to bring any leftovers home. ***Please bring closed toed shoes, hair ties for long hair, snacks, and lunch (if you don't plan to purchase our lunch service) ****This camp will use the swimming pool daily in the afternoon as an optional activity.
