At the COOR welding camp, students will develop basic welding knowledge and skill application. They will complete student made take-home projects. Students will experience first-hand what it is like to operate various equipment used in the welding industry, including welding power sources, grinders, and shears. This hands-on experience will spark students’ interest and stretch their minds as they explore the exciting and rewarding opportunities available through a career as a Welder and/or Metal Fabricator. Clothing requirement for safety: No open-toed shoes, sandals or flip flops. Must have shoes/boots. Jeans with no holes and shirt. Lunch provided Transportation provide from local middle school to and from C.O.O.R. Advanced Technical Innovation Center in Roscommon.
