About this event

Description

We're sorry, but this program is over. The last meeting was Friday, June 28, 2024.

Enjoy a little history as you paddle with certified instructors along the Des Plaines River. Discover the stories of voyageurs and early Isle a la Cache residents who traveled the river roads before us. Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. This is not an instructional program; previous kayaking experience is required, as this is a recreational program with upstream paddling. All equipment is provided, including life jackets. The natural surface launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot.

$20 per person.

Ages 18 or older.
