The 988 Run Out of the Darkness

Get an early start to Pennridge Community Day by running the "988 Run Out of the Darkness 5K/10K", benefitting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The AFSP is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education, and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.
Organized by the Perkasie Rotary Club, the race uses Lenape Park starting at the baseball fields off Walnut St. 10K runners do two loops.Runners are free to change their distance until after the first loop. Runners entering the chute after the first loop will be considered to have run the 5K. Walkers are encouraged but limited to the 5K.
Participants can choose to receive a quality short-sleeved tech shirt or a discounted registration for no shirt. In addition to generous awards, including 80+, all registrants over the age of 21 will receive a coupon for a free beer at Free Will.
Event details and schedule
Registration opens at 7:00 AM. Awards immediately following each race. There is ample parking at the baseball fields. The fields are a short distance (< 1/2 mile) from Free Will at 411 E. Walnut Street.
