Dear Middle School Parents, Does your student enjoy photography, graphic design, or telling stories? Are they diligent in their work, organized, and able to meet deadlines? If so, I would like to invite your Middle School student to join our Yearbook Club! This is Ambleside’s third year for making a yearbook, and I am delighted to be the yearbook advisor again. Here is some brief information regarding club activities, expectations, meeting times, and dates: Goal: We have one purpose in the Yearbook club - to produce a yearbook that the club can be proud of and our families appreciate. To that end, we welcome Middle School students who are eager to contribute to something as enduring and meaningful as a school yearbook. Our goal is for every member to feel like he or she made a vital contribution to the book while being a valued and integral part of the yearbook team. Activities: Students will take part in designing yearbook pages, interviewing students and staff for quotes, and planning the overall design of the yearbook. We use Entourage, an online yearbook program. Students do not need to bring anything but commitment and creativity. Expectations: Yearbook club not only offers many skills, but also the creation of a book that will be cherished by families. Therefore, students ought to be respectful, confidential, responsible, and follow through with their yearbook assignments. Students must attend yearbook club meetings faithfully. Meeting Dates & Times: We will meet monthly on Thursdays after school from 3:05 to 4:00pm, then twice a month in March and April. Below are the meeting dates: October 19 November 9 December 14 January 25 February 22 March 14 March 21 April 4 April 16 April 25 Please register no later than Thursday, October 12.
