Our annual 5K/1 Mile Run for a Mission is a wonderful way to enjoy and race as a family. Lilburn City Park has a scenic easy paved trail. The park provides other park features if you wish to bring a picnic or take your children to the playground afterwards. There is also a restaurant in the park.
We have awards for the 5K race: Overall Male / Overall Female trophies; Overall Master Male/ Overall Master Female trophies; First and Second Place Male and Female Medals in all age categories.
Your participation in our Run for a Mission provides financial help to the Latin American Sisters in Columbia, SA. These sisters manage safe houses and orphanges for children ages birth - 18 years old. They provide food, clothing, beds, education, and teach them how to cook, sew, etc. Their goal is to teach them a life skill and prevent these children to fall victim to sex traficking, drugs, and violence. 100% of the money is givien to these sisters to help with bedding, clothes, building repairs, and more.
Event details and schedule
Package pick up and same-day registration begins at 7:30 am on race day, October 19.
Both the 5K and 1 Mile begin at 9:00 am.
Please be sure to sign the online waiver.
Please bring your ID.
Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water.
There is plenty of parking at Lilburn City Park.
