How To Learn Tunes - FREE Workshop with the Long Point String Band 12:00-2:00 LPCA Theatre Ages 13+ Join the Long Point String Band for this fun workshop where we will discuss the methods they use to gather new repertoire. LPSB will show examples of field recordings they've pulled tunes from, and then show the resulting “neo-traditional” arrangements. We will also discuss festival culture and how to pick up as many tunes as possible in concentrated environments. These techniques can be applied by beginner and advanced players alike! Once we have concluded the discussion of learning tunes, we will have an old-time jam session, where we can potentially apply these concepts. Feel free to bring your own instruments or just sit back and enjoy!
