Halloween Trick or Trot 5K

Bridle Trails State Park • 5300 116th Ave NE KirklandWA  98033 Organized by Bridle Trails Park Foundation $25 instant refund on this event with gift card.

About this event

Join us for a Halloween-themed community day at Bridle Trails State Park, with festivities the whole family will enjoy. Kick-off the day with the Trick or Trot 5K, running on beautiful forested trails around the park. Bridle Trails is a local haven for walking, running, and horseback riding, with more than 30 miles of groomed dirt trails underneath a canopy of lush PNW evergreens. During October, the fall colors will be on full display!

The course follows well-maintained trails with rolling hills and a few rocks and roots, but there are no technical singletrack trails or steep climbs. All-in-all, these trails are an absolute blast to run on, whether you are looking to set a PR or just enjoy the scenery!

The run will be COVID-safe, featuring individual starts (all chip-timed), outdoor event areas, and social distancing practices in place following all current local regulations.

Bring the whole family along for a FREE kids 1K Scavenger Hunt. Please register HERE (link to Eventbrite page) to ensure enough treats for all participating ghosts and goblins. Costumes are encouraged. A State Parks Interpretive Specialist will be on hand with owl specimens and pellets for dissection and discussion.

Horses (large and small) will make an appearance for a themed photo booth along with Halloween snacks and treats for all!

COVID Safety measures:

Outdoor endurance events remain one of the safest and most health-promoting things you can do during the still ongoing pandemic. We would still like you and everyone attending our event to take common-sense precautions to minimize the risks:

- Avoid remaining in close proximity to others (where you are face-to-face or breathing the same air) for prolonged periods, especially in still air or enclosed spaces.

- Be conscious of hand hygiene, including washing or sanitizing frequently and avoiding touching your eyes with dirty hands.

- Stay home if you have cold- or flu-like symptoms or a new loss of your sense of taste or smell that could be COVID-19.

For any additional requirements, we will be following WA state park guidance, laid out and updated daily at the following link: Current COVID-19 guidance in King County - King County

Thank you for joining us and we look forward to an exciting and healthy Halloween in the park!
