About This Activity
Explore concepts such as: process art, scale, color density, contrast, and place based art. We will go on nature walks to collect our rocks. Kids will learn to clean and prepare their materials and use acrylic paints. Drawing inspiration from Southeast Alaska, each student will be encouraged to hide a rock outside- a tradition of rock painting! They will be sent home with “homework” to hide the remaining two rocks around Juneau during summer break. Instructor: Elizabeth Eriksen
