About This Activity
Musical Theatre Adventure Camp: A Wicked Adventure Eligibility: Open to rising 2nd through 6th-grade students. Focus: Discover the magic of musical theatre while building confidence in singing, acting, and dancing. Theme: Inspired by the spellbinding world of Wicked, campers will explore the tale of Elphaba, Glinda, and the land of Oz. They’ll learn iconic songs, recreate enchanting scenes, and dive into the themes of friendship, identity, and standing up for what’s right. Final Showcase: A Wicked-inspired performance for family and friends to share the hard work and creativity of our young performers. Camp Details: Dates: June 16-18, and June 20 (No class on June 19th) Time: Monday - Wed, 8:45 AM - 11:45 AM, Friday 8:45AM-12:30PM Final Performance: Friday at 12:00 PM at the Belmont Arts Collaborative (a limited number of family/friends are able to be invited) Cost: Includes a DMR T-shirt for registrations received by May 15 What to Bring: Campers should bring labeled snacks, a water bottle, and wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Campers will engage in: - Learning Wicked-inspired songs and choreography. -Musical theatre workshops focused on storytelling and stage presence. Whether your child dreams of defying gravity or lighting up the stage with a smile, this camp is the perfect start to their summer adventure! Aftercare Option: Available until 3 PM, Monday through Wednesday, for added convenience.
