Description
Hill House is excited to announce a new development in our Music Department. Hill House will host private music lessons in partnership with Boston Music Project. BMP brings a team of dedicated musicians who are excited to join us at the Firehouse for this school year. A Hill House and Boston Music Project partnership has many benefits including recitals, community events, orchestra ensemble jam sessions, performance opportunities and more. Now there will be more instruments offered and more musical opportunities at your backyard in the city!Lessons will be 30 minutes in length at 127 Mount Vernon Street for children ages 4+. Families have the option of paying seasonally, biannually, or a onetime payment for the year.
Private Lesson Absence Policy:If a student needs to be absent from their lesson for any reason, the Teaching Artist must be notified at least 24 hours in advance, except for in the case of an illness or family emergency when advanced notice is not possible.
- Families are allowed ONE make-up per semester due to an excused absence. "Excused absence" means it was reported within 24 hours AND/OR was due to medical reasons/family emergencies/etc.
- If a student does not cancel at least 24 hours in advance or "no-shows" the teacher does not have to make up the lesson.
- A "no-show" occurs when the student does not show up after 15 minutes from the start of the lesson. At this point, the lesson is forfeited and the teacher will not be required to make up the lesson.
- If the teaching artist cancels a lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled.
