About this event
Learn essential knitting techniques. You will learn to read a pattern, cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, decrease, increase, and finishing techniques while creating unique textiles. Patterns will be provided. Option to bring your own pattern. Materials: The first day will be an introduction to materials and techniques. Students will get materials after they choose a project on the first day of class. Materials needed will include yarn (which varies widely in type and cost) and knitting needles appropriate for your chosen project. A tapestry needle, ruler and scissors are needed as well.
