In this class, students will learn how to string beads on beading wire for a bracelet or necklace and finish their piece with crimps, crimp covers, jump rings, and a clasp of their choice. We will also touch on stringing methods and design choices. Materials and tools required before class: Students may bring their own stringing project or purchase the necessary materials in advance: · beading wire, Beadalon or Softflex medium is a good choice, at least 24” for a standard length necklace · beads · spacers or 8/0 or 11/0 seed beads (optional but recommended) · 2-2x2 crimp tubes · 2-4mm crimp covers · 2 to 4 jump rings, 5-6mm · Clasp · 2 bead stoppers (optional) Tools will be available for use during class.
