About this event
Combine wheel throwing and hand built construction to produce forms of irregular shape and texture. You’ll learn to throw large pieces in sections and discover various methods for texturing surfaces. You’ll also alter forms using techniques such as faceting and fluting. If you’re an intermediate student ready to challenge yourself by learning some new techniques, then this is the class for you. Pre-requisite: Must be able to throw a cylinder confidently and with even walls. Clay must be purchased at the Studio. Clay is $10-$28 for a 25 lb bag depending on clay body. We also sell tools kits at the Studio and the prices range from $10-$22. Please view our refund policy at artstudio.berkeley.edu/faqs. Please note this is a 2.5 hour class and the course cost reflects as such.
