Description
Join the City of Agoura Hills as we explore Ultra-Violet: New Light on Van Gogh’s Irises exhibit at the Getty. This exhibition shows how Van Gogh’s understanding of light and color informed his painting practice and allows visitors to explore how conservators and scientists working together can harness the power of light with analytical tools to uncover the artist’s materials and working methods. It also reveals how light has irrevocably changed some of the colors in Irises. Then explore the wide expanse of art the Getty has to offer before returning.
Pacific Standard Time Art is a collection of exhibitions that explore some of the most urgent problems of our time through past and present connections between art and science in a series of exhibitions, public programs, and other resources. These exhibitions will explore “topics like ancient cosmologies, Indigenous sci-fi, environmental justice, and artificial intelligence.”
