About this event
This four-week computer technology course begins with an introduction to computer hardware and software, explaining key components and their functions, alongside an exploration of various operating systems like Windows, MacOS, and Linux. Students will learn about file management, system settings, and basic security measures including antivirus software and firewalls. The course also covers foundational network concepts, including how the Internet works, IP addresses, DNS, and routing. The final week is devoted to a project where students apply their knowledge to set up a simple network or optimize system settings, culminating in a presentation of their work. Hands-on activities, weekly quizzes, and practical assignments are integrated throughout the course to reinforce concepts learned. Cost: $95 Instructor: Davis
