Description
This 4-hour course/exam will review/examine the NL Pool certification. Participants must give the examiner the prerequisites before the course starts. Prerequisites are NL Pool. All participants must bring an Alert manual.Completion Criteria:• Attend and participate in 100 % of the course.• Successfully demonstrate competency in required skills, activities and final evaluation.Pre-Course Requirements: (participants must provide qualification first day of class)• National Lifeguard Pool AwardProgram includes classroom and water activities - 100 % attendance and participation are required.Awards are issued to the candidate by mail. Certification of this award is for 2 years.
National Lifeguard awards are mailed to successful candidates by the Lifesaving Society.
Participants must provide proof of prerequisites to the Examiner prior to commencement of exam:• National Lifeguard Pool Award
The following items must be purchased in order to participate:• 1 CPR pocket mask with a 1-way valve• 1 whistle (recommended Fox 40)• 6 pairs of latex-free gloves• 2 roller gauzes• 5 triangular bandages• 10 gauze pads• 1 golf pencil• 1 silver mylar blanket.
You may choose to purchase a leadership kit ($38.99) containing these supplies at this facility or alternatively, you may purchase them on your own.
The program includes classroom and water activities 100% attendance and participation are required.
